FAQ
VF Space develops its own WLAM-based metal 3D printing systems, providing both equipment sales and printing services. In addition, we offer sounding rocket launch services, as well as the sale of sounding rockets and hybrid rocket engines.
WLAM (Wire-Laser Additive Manufacturing) is a metal 3D printing process that builds structures by melting metal wire using a laser heat source. Compared to conventional metal 3D printers that use powder-based materials, it offers significantly lower costs and faster production speeds.
Our metal 3D printer offers a wide production capability range. It supports a minimum line resolution of 2 mm and a maximum build rate of up to 5 kg/h, enabling everything from precision component manufacturing to high-speed production of large-scale parts.
We are currently planning the release of GAIA N along with a dedicated laser head, and GAIA G will also be available for sale upon completion of development. GAIA I is currently in operation for printing services.
Hyperion Junior is a sounding rocket powered by a hybrid engine using VS-O1, a proprietary fuel optimized for gaseous oxygen (GOX) developed in-house. This enables simple and stable operation. In addition, we offer launch services at a significantly lower cost compared to competitors.
Gaseous oxygen offers structural simplicity compared to other oxidizers, and is easier to handle and supply, which directly contributes to reducing development and operational costs. In addition, to enable year-round operation, we use gaseous oxygen that is less sensitive to temperature variations and does not require complex thermal management systems.
